Travel Grants
The SPNHC Annual Meeting Travel Grant program is designed to assist members with the costs of attending the Society’s annual meeting. Through the Fitzgerald and Christine Allen Travel grant program, grants are preferentially awarded to students or emerging professionals in fields related to the physical care and conservation of natural history collections (although any SPNHC member can apply). Additional grants may be available through generous donations by SPNHC members or through vendor/sponsor support. Each award is typically $750 to cover registration and travel expenses.
Preference will also be given to applicants presenting at the conference.
A letter of support from the applicant's advisor, supervisor, or professional mentor should be submitted, together with this application. (See below for instructions for submission.) A copy of the applicant’s presentation/poster abstract should also be submitted if the applicant is presenting.
SPNHC members from the following countries are strongly encouraged to apply - Central and South America, Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe.
