The Biodiversity Institute and the University of Kansas invite you to join us for the 40th Annual Meeting of the Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections (SPNHC) May 27-31, 2025 in Lawrence, KS, USA.  The meeting will be held on the campus of the University of Kansas in the Kansas Memorial Union. Plenary and concurrent sessions/symposia, along with committee meetings, workshops, Council, and Annual Business meetings, will comprise the bulk of the conference program. At the same time, ample opportunities to socialize will be provided at the icebreaker, banquet, and trivia night events. Tours of the Biodiversity Institute collections will facilitate discussion of best practices and standards employed in various disciplines while numerous field trip options are also being explored.  Virtual attendance will be made possible through Zoom. We are grateful to the many sponsors whose support makes this conference possible.

Something new this year - STEAMed SPNHC - a suite of events including a Silent Art Auction, Artist’s Corner, and an Unconference exploring the interface of collections, science, and art and in doing so, foster creativity, collaboration, and deeper engagement within the natural history community.
